Otter Falls was a quick stop at Seven Devils, NC. There is a rather small parking lot at the trailhead and an overflow parking area about .20 mile down the mountain which is where we parked as the main parking lot was full. The trail, open in 2015, is about 1 mile roundtrip. It is easy going downhill with a bit of an angle on the way up which makes it moderate on the return trip. Children and dogs should be ok on this trail. The elevation increase is about 226ft. It is a pretty trail peppered with wildflowers. It is popular especially on weekends. The road leading to it is a typical mountain road. There is a lookout allowing a great view from the top of the waterfall. while Otter Falls does not compete with Crabtree Falls, it is a nice stop when in the area.
