Located in Yoho National park, Takkakaw Falls are one of the highest in Canada. The falls’ highest point is 991ft. Fed by the Daly glacier, it free falls ferociously over 850ft. It is a popular point of interest in the park. It has a large parking lot. The trail is easy, less than one mile and mostly paved. The views of the falls are spectacular. It can get misty as you one gets close to the waterfall. Yoho National became a park on October 10, 1886. Along with Banff, Jasper and other parks, it is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. Definitely a must-stop when in the area.
