Three Sisters Creek Trail

Explore Three Sisters Creek Trail, a Stunning Alpine Wilderness, Alberta, Canada

The Three Sisters Creek Trail is a scenic 2.7‑mile hike with an elevation gain of 826 feet, offering bridges, water crossings, waterfalls, and views of the iconic Three Sisters peaks. We hiked it on September 15, 2022, parking along a quiet neighborhood road near the trailhead. From the start, the trail felt peaceful and inviting, with the sound of rushing water guiding us forward.

The route becomes a bit confusing after reaching the first waterfall. The path appears to continue to the right, but following AllTrails, we crossed the stream to the left and continued toward the second waterfall. Although AllTrails shows the trail extending beyond that point, the terrain looked unsafe, so we chose to turn around there. It was the right call—safety always comes first on mountain trails.

Despite the confusing sections, the hike is undeniably beautiful. The bridges, cascades, and mountain views create a dynamic landscape that keeps the trail interesting from start to finish. Even with its short distance, the variety of scenery makes it feel like a much bigger adventure. As you’ll see in the photos and videos below, it’s a wonderfully scenic hike and well worth the effort.
