This must be the prettiest trail I’ve ever hiked. We parked roadside on the North Carolina side as the small parking lot was almost full. This trail extends 2.6 mile starting behind the Carvers Gap sign just across the border into Tennessee. The trail offers the most beautiful mountain views. It is quite a popular trail for families and young people alike, several camped on top of the mountain.
