This morning 8/15/2020 I drove to this lovely park as it was calling for rain so I wanted to stay local. I walked 5.5 miles from the entrance until reaching the lock and back. It is a lovely trail by the river. Expect to see wildlife, flowers, bridges. I love this trail, and it looks different every season I go. There were a few people enjoying the fresh air but it was not hard to social distance. A few people were even wearing masks. I saw fishermen, children, bicyclists etc. The park has a nice outdoor fitness area facing the canal. The Riverfront park is part of The Palmetto Trail, it is a portion of the Capital City Passage .
