On the last day of 2023, I visited Goat Daddy’s farm. It s located a few miles from my house, yet I had not heard of it until recently. It was started in 2014 as an animal sanctuary. Several species of animal live happily on the farm. I saw goats, alpacas, tortoise, a camel (Abu), a cow (Norris), snakes, llamas, prairie dogs, pot belly pigs, horses, donkeys, many cats, hens, emus, noisy and loud macaws, etc.
A number of the sanctuary animals were rescues, others were given shelter at the farm when their owners couldn’t keep them. In either case they are now well cared for by a smiling, affectionate staff who wandered around visitors, answering their questions and watching the animals.
The farm sells dairy products. It is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. Check their web site for hours. It cost $10/person to visit on weekends. They host private tours, private parties, animal care classes, field trips, baby goat yoga classes, etc. I recommend a visit, especially if you have little ones. They will enjoy feeding the farm animals and cuddling the smaller goats.
