We hiked this short 3.0 miles loop and admired the blue green water in the five lakes. The elevation increase is only 534ft. This hike is very popular due to its moderate ease. Another loop can be added around the first lake to make it a 5-mile hike. Even though there are a few up and down inclines, they tend to be short and rather easy to walk. I always find a hiking stick helpful.
We were there on September 21, 2022. We arrived early; frost covered the vegetation. The lakes, the mountain and tree reflections were beautiful. I understand in November the lakes are covered with snow, so the scenery is quite different than what we observed.
