Bald Rock Heritage Preserve and Caesar’s Head State Park, SC

Bald Rock Heritage Preserve

I stopped at bald rock after hiking Oil Camp Creek . It’s a big rock offering gorgeous views. Not much of a hike, but a great stop if in the area. It can be easily accessed by young and old alike. Unfortunately people have defaced it with a lot of graffiti but that does not take away from the amazing scenery of Pickens and Greenville Counties.

Caesar’s Head State Park

I then continued on to Caesar’s Head state park. I have visited this park before as a quick stop or to park and hike the Mountain Ridge Wilderness Area. I have posted about one such hike in the Middle Saluda Passage that starts just across the street from Caesar’s Head state park. I have also hiked the trail from this park to Jones Gap state park.
