Oil Camp Creek, SC

On 7/2/2020 I drove 2.5 hours to meet with Lesli, Nancy and Shari on Persimmon Ridge Rd in Cleveland, SC. We hiked 5.7 miles on a mostly upward sloping trail leading to Ashmore Preserve. It was a beautiful hike through the lush terrain of upstate SC. I mostly hike flat trails around the midlands, so I had to push myself to keep up with my fit companions. I very much enjoyed my day and would like to thank them for allowing me to hike with them and Bella, Lesli’s cute little dog

We saw a variety of mushrooms as you will notice in the photos and passed by two beautiful waterfalls. The trail runs along the Oil Camp Creek, it is always nice when you are hiking by water. It is a moderate hike with an elevation gain of 1,641 ft.
