On Saturday May 15, 2021 we signed up for a horseback riding adventure at Camelot Farms in Saint Helena Island. A beautiful Beaufort county island, Saint Helena offers typical South Carolina’s lowcountry charming landscapes from salt marshes to maritime forests and moss draped oak tree avenue. My family and I first visited Camelot in summer 2016 when we enjoyed our first seaside horseback riding experience. This year back in the lowcountry we could not miss a repeat of this fun adventure.

Founded by Mark and Anne Kennedy in 1999, Camelot Farms offer much more than fun trail rides. Their space accommodates horse boarding, breeding, training and equestrian lessons. I noticed happy little girls and boys washing horses after their riding lessons. It looked like so much fun, I wish I had this option growing up. The farm consists of 70 acres including pastures, tack room, work rings, receiving barn, covered arena. They also offer a guest house for rent as well as camping facilities. Saint Helena is a beautiful location near the town of Beaufort with various water activities nearby.

Indeed. We loved it in 2016 and in 2021
