We spent a glorious time hiking the trails of this 1,110-acre scenic park. the land was donated to the state of New York by Robert H. Treman and his wife Laura. I was in awe of the gorge and its twelve waterfalls especially Lucifer Falls that drops 115ft into the gorge. The sandstone rocks eroded into the current visible horizontal layers. October 25th, 2023 was a rainy day. I tried my best to cover my camera under my rain poncho, rain still managed to get in. We hiked just a portion of the gorge trail, the most picturesque section. We parked by the mill. Inside the building one can read about its history. The park was not very busy, likely due to weather. The trail is moderate due to steps but it is well maintained. This park is simply stunning in the fall. Despite the rain, I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to visit and highly recommend it.
