Buttermilk State Park, NY

We visited this 811-acre park on October 25th, 2023. My first impression of this park is the huge cascade of Buttermilk Creek at its entrance. Went up the steps to hike the rim of the gorge. It’s a picturesque hike of ten picturesque waterfalls and bridges. The rain stayed with us on most of our upstate New York trip. We hiked the Buttermilk Falls Gorge and Rim Trail Loop. It’s a moderate 1.6 miles with a lot of steps. I was happy to have my hiking stick. It was a beautiful trail, I highly recommend hiking it if you can manage the steps.
