We spent Palm Sunday 2022 weekend in Murrells Inlet, SC. I got up early and drove out to watch the sunrise at Belin UMC. It was still dark when I reached its stunning waterfront location. I sat on a beautiful bench overlooking the waterfront surrounded by majestic oak trees for a few quiet moments feeling thankful and savoring the beauty surrounding me. Despite the fact that I am not normally an early riser, I was exhilarated to watch the sun slowly make its way up over the inlet. Before long, activity picked up around me: birds started to circle over the marsh, friends headed out fishing from a dock next door, and I noticed that a few spectators had joined me. We watched in awe as a new day was born before our eyes binding us together by its special secret promise. I drove back to my hotel, with peace and joy in my heart. What an amazing way to start the day!
