Tinker Cliffs, VA

On Wednesday 11/25/2020 my nieces and I set out to hike The second of Virginia’s Triple Crown. I had been longing to hike sections of the Appalachian trail for a long time so this opportunity was very exciting. What a perfect trail and great workout this 8 mile hike was! It guides you up about 2,000ft elevation to the top of the mountain passing a beautiful cow pasture and a stream before starting a steady climb to most gorgeous views! The cows were too far on the hill for me to snap a photo but we could see them lazily relaxing on the green grass. It is unfortunate that one must climb up a few steps at the end when one is tired but don’t let that deter you as it is really not that bad. I did have cell signal on and off this hike. It is a great hike that I am sure to repeat when in the area again. I am in awe of the wonderful hiking around Blaksburg, VA where my brother lives, it is such a pretty part of the country!

I started recording 1.5 miles into the hike
