On July 4th, 2020 my mother and I drove to Spartanburg to wander around Glendale Shoals. It’s a scenic preserve where you can walk amid the ruins of Glendale Mills of Lawson’s Fork Creek. It’s short hike, may be a mile or so but it is fun to observe and possibly partake in the water activities on the cascades next to it. There is also a small garden with lavender, orange coneflowers and other varieties of plants. I spotted a photographer on a photo shoot in the garden.
