On Saturday 6/20/2020, I headed toward Aiken, SC to do some exploring. My first stop was the Silver Bluff Audubon Center and Sanctuary.
Silver Bluff’s trails were very well marked. Every intersection had a sign to direct the hiker which way to go. I hiked the 0.75 mile near their little garden, then the 2 mile loop. There was only one family having a picnic so I had the woods to myself. I did not encounter a lot birds although I could hear them. Saw a lonely rabitt, a butterfly, some wild flowers, and beautiful tall pine trees. The two trails are easy. The 2 mile one has a small boardwalk over black swampy water. Children could easily hike them.
