Rocky Creek Trail

My son and I headed over to Great Falls on Mothers Day for a walk in the woods. The trail is about 2 easy miles along Rocky Creek, a tributary of the Catawba River. There is a waterfall to the left and rapids to the right. I’ve visited twice and both times the ground was pretty muddy so make sure you take extra shoes and socks and a trash bag to put the muddy shoes in if you don’t want to dirty your car. It’s an enjoyable walk in the woods with beautiful views of the creek. It must be well known as both times there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. The address is 1030 Chester Ave in Great Falls. It is part of the Carolina Thread Trail.
