Phinizy Center & Nature Park, GA

Today I ventured to Augusta, Georgia. I hiked about five miles in lush landscapes and managed to get lost. It was thanks to Google that I found my way back to the my car. The center does have a map, the problem is that the trails have no signs. I expected to see numbers matching the ones on the map but I either missed them or they are non existent. I enjoyed my hike nonetheless and saw a bunch of wildlife. Make sure you use bug repellent and if you visit in June like I did, be aware that it is very HOT in the south, my shirt was soaked by the time I reached my car. I will definitely go back when I purchase a higher resolution lens. The center is free, it offers a number of boardwalks and trails, and a play area for the children. Be aware that restrooms are currently closed due to Covid-19 concerns.
